The Rough Cut

The Rough Cut is a free event at Tyneside Cinema for new work and work-in-progress by artists working with the moving image.

For artists, it’s a useful way to share and get feedback on your work in a supportive and unthreatening environment. For everyone else, it’s a chance to see interesting new films.

Each session takes place in the Digital Lounge, a relaxed and informal space on the second floor of the cinema, and is introduced and chaired by a different guest moderator.

How to submit

The next edition of The Rough Cut takes place on Wednesday 07 August with Irene Aristizábal (Head of Curatorial and Public Practice at BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art, Gateshead).

To submit, please send a synopsis of the work you’d like to show, together with a bio / CV, to Tess Denman-Cleaver by Wednesday 31 July 2019.
